I upgraded my motherboard, chip, and memory. I am running windows xp home,
p4 2.4, and 512mb memory. When I try to hotsync my palm it says the com1
port is unavailable and will open it when it becomes available. I have
uninstalled the port in device manager and rebooted and I have uninstalled
the palm desktop software and reinstalled it with no success. Any
suggestions?

Hi;
WHERE: BIOS
OFF/REBOOT while...
keeping favorite finger ready on top of [Pause/Break] Key to "stop the
scrolling"...
as the MESSAGE comes (and leaves quickly) that says where/what to press to
access the BIOS.

In Bios, third page or so: Serial Port(s)==># 1: OPEN
AND please leave the rest ALONE!!!

Accept, Save, Exit, ReBoot normally.

Got it now!

Mikey
