Dear LG,

There may be a few different ways of troubleshooting this. With Windows XP
this may include using System File Checker, using System Restore, etc.

Can you provide me with the actual Event ID you see and the exact
description text?

I was unable to find a reference to this in the KB, but here are some
things to try:

1. Verify that service is set to start:
a. Right-click "My Computer", and then click "Manage".
b. Expand "Services and Applications", and then click "Services".
c. In the right pane, verify that the following servics is set to start:
- Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
- Network Connections (this service depends on RPC service)
- Plug and Play
- COM+ Event System (this service depends on RPC service)

2. Verify the logon setting:
a. Double-click the "COM+ Event System" service.
b. Click the "Log On" tab.
c. Under "Log on as", verify that "Local System account" is selected. This
is the default setting.

If you haven't made any changes, we need to move to the next thing to look

| There are several codes but I start in orders:
|
| Event Catergory
| 4892 (98)
| 4610 (50)
| 4455 (113)
| 4689 (unknown)
|
| all refers to "Com+ Event System

The only reference I was able to find on any of these Event IDs was one
article that is not relevant. If this symptom is happening persistently
(with every boot) perform these steps:

1. Open up Event Viewer.
2. Right-click on the System event log and choose "Save Log File As"
3. Save the log file as type text: LG.TXT for Location specify your
Desktop.
4. Open the resulting text file.
5. Copy the relevant information - just one example of the series of 4
events you describe.
6. Paste this into a new reply post here for me to review. .

NOTE: if you do not see the events in your System log, but instead, you
Application log, use the same steps outlined above for that. .

When I can see the details of these events here , <be concise please> , I
might be able to suggest next steps.
