COM Add-in for Outlook 2002

I am running Outlook 2002 (10.3513.3501) SP-1. In trying to activate a COM
Add-in for Trend Micro PC-cillin, I am not able to keep the box in the COM
Add-in window checked. In other words, it is shown as available (I have
added it a few times to be certain) and there is a blank box to check next to
the TMAS Addin, but when I check it and click OK it doesn't stay checked.
Have gone through this numerous times, but it won't stay checked. Any ideas?
