Hi,
Am using windows XP home and lately I have columns of dots dashes and lines
scattered over the screen, how can I remove them?

Check that your video card is firmly seated in its slot, check that the
data cable to your monitor has no bent pins and is correctly connected.
Possibly update your video drivers, try a new or different video card,
try a differnt monitor.
