Columns gone!...

Outlook 2007 (connected to Exchange Server 2003).

OK, so I was viewing my Inbox in the usual way. Thought I'd filter by
Unread items, so I clicked on the dropdown that said "Messages" and
changed to "Unread Messages in this Folder".

And had a browse around n' that.

And then when I went back to the normal all Messages (unfiltered) - ALL
the columns have gone, and the only column showing is the Size column
(and it has NO TITLE, ie it doesn't actually say "Size" like it used
to).

OK, so I figure I'll just rebuild the columns the way they were.

I spend a bit of time toggling the filter between "Unread Messages in
this Folder" and "Messages" - and use the Field chooser to put the
fields back in.

No prob, until.. I get to the Size field. I drag that back in place,
and as before (when it all went messed up and ONLY showed the (untitled)
Size column), it STILL DOESN'T SHOW THE TITLE of the field (the word
Size is still missing).

And... I can't drag the "Flag Status" field back into it's place (it
won't even begin to drag.

What the hell's going on? - how can I fix this corruption, or whatever
it is?

TIA

UPDATE:

Thought I'd chkdsk the drives, so I've now chkdsk /f all the drives.
Upon reboot, my profile wouldn't load, and I get a default desktop.

So I re-run chkdsk /f on the boot drive, and reboot again, and I get my
desktop back (yes, I run the User Profile Cleanup service util).

Then I open Outlook. No probs, but the Flag Status field still won't
drag back.

So I flick back into the filtered "Unread Messages in This Folder" - and
I note the "Flag Status" field can't be dragged OFF (anyway) - let alone
back on.

Then guess what, I click back to "Messages" - and I'm back to square one
(only have a Size field column, and it has no title).

Outlook's the most important program I use - and I have an unuesable
Inbox - any help appreciated.

Here is a pic (I've minimised the Nav pane for my own privacy, and
blacked out a folder name)...

PLEASE HELP!!

PS: don't think the profile had that much to do with it, here is some
event log info...

* When I rebooted with a corrupt profile...

remember, it rebooted after this, and I got my orignal working profile

nothing much there eh?

The only OUtlook event I've found...

UPDATE2:

I've checked things in OWA, everything looks normal in that.

I've just deleted my OST file, restarted Outlook, looked good for a
while, until it got to repopulating the Inbox, and the columns
dissapeared in front of my eyes!, back to just a "Size" column with no
title saying it's the size column.

Seriously looking for help on this. Cheers,

FIXED - I hope.

I've gone into the Define Views and done a reset on the "Messages" view,
and it seems to be back to normal.

Anyone got any idea what may have caused this? Has anyone seen this
happen before?
