I'm running FP2002 and Office 2003. When viewing items
in the Folders view, the folders column headings and
contents are blank. For rows on that view all I get is
an icon representing the folder or type of document, but
I get no file name, date, size, etc. All of the
properties of the document in that view are blank.

Any ideas?

Stu W.

Are you looking at Navigation Pane instead possibly? You probabaly want Folder List.

OK, Let me clarify...

I am looking at the Folders View. That is, from the
Folders menu item, I select Folders. While the Folder
List appears appropriately, the Contents Of <folder> pane
only shows an icon for each item in the folder. The
properties of the page or subfolder are all blank,
including the name of the document, the date, etc.

I am not looking at the Navigation view.

I don't know what you mean by "toggle pane". I can
toggle between different software applications, and it
doesn't help. I can also move between the different
views, and that doesn't help as well. Columns in the
Report view show up appropriately, showing the Name,
Count, Size and Description for the Site Summary. The
Columns in Folders View do not show up. Only an icon for
each item shows.

I've tried to Repair the FrontPage application, and I've
also tried to Uninstall and reinstall the application.
Nothing I've tried seems to make the columns in Folders
view show up.

I'm using FP 2002 and Office 2003. I am sure the column
titles just don't slide way over to the right. I see the
discrete column title headers for seven columns, and I
can adjust their size. None of the column headers have
any titles in them, and the first column of seven is the
only one that has any contents. The contents of the
first column is simply a icon representing the type of
item that is in the appropriate folder that has been
selected in the Folder List. The item name, size, date,
etc. do not show up. There is no option to add or
subtract columns in this Folders View or I'd try it.

This response to a related issue was posted by Stefan B Rusynko, it may
help.
Back up the registry first.

<quote>
Try the below registry edit before you repair/reinstall MSO XP/ FP 2002

Find the key
hkcu/software/microsoft/frontpage/explorer/fp explorer/settings

Any of the values listed in here that start with the number 5 should be
deleted. This will reset all of the column widths, etc, but it will get the
filenames and any other problems resolved.
There should only be one or two for folder view, but any view that was
used/modified with a beta version of FP2003 could be affected.

PS
Also delete all FP Temp and *.web files before opening FP2002, then run a
Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks
