My colleague is having a problem with his outlook 2003, where the From
column disappears every 30 - 45mins, no matter we add the From column
time and again, this seems to be losing the From column.

Any insights are highly appreciated.

Reset the view on the folder via View-> Arrange By-> Custom...-> Reset

Are you the IT support person? Have you/they tried detect and repair on
Outlook?

If that doesn't work, you could reset the view but beware as I think you
will lose any that the user has tailored.
