Under Windows 98 you could choose from a wide selection of colour schemes,
but unless I'm missing something XP offers you just three.

Is there a way of getting more schemes (without having to pay for them)?

There are a couple downloads available. Try going to the link below for
downloads, check this site sometimes for updates.
