I've never seen this.
But Excel and other windows programs use the printer driver to know how to
display stuff. You may want to try a different printer (or printer driver) to
see what happens.
Maybe even download a fresh driver from the manufacturer's site.
Same thing with the video driver, too??? Or even fiddle with some of the
display settings--if you do this, make sure you write down the existing settings
before you do anything--so you can get them back to what they were before if it
doesn't help.
If that doesn't help, you may want to provide more details--what's the make and
model of your printer?
