My ancient, second-hand, HP Deskjet has died and gone off to the tip.
Although most of the domestic print load is handled by a Laserjet 5L,
we do need a colour printer for occasional use, and probably
increasingly for digital photographs.

The space where it must go is about 180mm (7") high - it's on the
bottom shelf of the trolley which holds all the PC gear. The Deskjet
fitted in there (just) but -- and this is the point -- it did so by
virtue of its paper feed being "horizontal": in other words paper lay
flat in the input bin and was fed into the output bin flat again.
There is ample width and depth; it's the height that matters.

Can someone suggest models of printer that would go in there? Even
to find out which ones to evaluate would be helpful, though
recommendations based on my usage profile above would also be helpful.
