Colors rendering incorrectly in PP2003

Now that we're upgrading users in our company to Office 2003 we're seeing
problems where documents created in older version of Powerpoint are having
the colors of some images rendered incorrectly. For example, images which
are yellow are appearing blue when they are opened in PP2003. Does anyone
have any idea what might be causing this and how to correct it?

Try inverting images...sounds like that's what's happening with yellow to blue.

That didn't work. It isn't inverting the image, and it's not doing it to
all of them. It's very strange, and it happens to every older document we've
opened up in PP2003.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]
[TOP ISSUE - Are you having difficulty opening presentations in PowerPoint
that you just created (you can save, but not open)? -

Hello,

This may be a known problem in Office 2003 with images that originated in
Photoshop for the Macintosh. Do you happen to know the origin of the images?

If this is the case, the only workaround we have at this time is to open
and resave them as *.png files and then reinsert the images into Office
2003 documents.
