Is there a way to change the color of the status bar at the bottom of Windows
XP desktop? Just curious.

Yes, you can change it to either Silver or Green. Right click on the
desktop/properties.

thanks. I have rt clicked on the desktop then selected properties but do not
see any option for the status bar

Once you get to the properties, click on the Appearance tab and then
select a Color Scheme. I use Silver.

From the appearance tab of desktop properties, you can set it to any colour
your heart desires.
