Color Scheme Won't Save

This is an issue that just started recently...out of the three XP color
schemes I prefer the Silver scheme and have had that one selected for 3-4
years. Recently everytime I boot up - the default Blue scheme shows up and I
have to go into Properties and reset it. Is there a way to fix this so that
it saves the color scheme selected when Windows boots up? Thanks.
