color quality bit changes

I set my color bit to 32 and or 16 bit and when I connect
to MSN it changes by itself to 8 bit. How do I get it to
stay on 16 or 32 bit when I go on the internet. When I
reset the color I always click the apply button and then
click OK. This normally happens when I am reading my
email.
