I know this scanner has been slated over the years in this group but I
have two choices, either find some decent software or get another
scanner:
I'm not interested in photo-quality, just matching a solid color from
the scanner to the printed page. I can handle the printer end, it is
nearly new and I think I can set up a profile. (Epson C1100).
This old scanner is a pain though, it uses HP Precisionscan LT, not PS
Pro and can't get it to work with Vuescan. Can anyone suggest other
options in terms of color management software to give me more
sophisticated adjustments on the screen. The LT driver is so basic it
allows you to do hardly anything but click&scan.
I should add the scanner itself works fine, I'm using XP SP1 but if
necessary can boot to 2000, 2003 Server, even Win98.........DESPERATE!!
