1-I thought it would be ASCII sequence where
small z z 7A &#122
sorts before
left brace (curly bracket) { 7B &#123

but if I create 2 rtf files, they are reversed. In fact,
nothing I tried sorted lower than z.

Is my sort bad or does XP use different sequence.

Search the Knowledge Base for 'Collating' & u get 0
hits.

2- When typing into wordpad, I cant use ALT+Num(0123)
for { cause Num pad not available. Is there 3rd
alternative possibly involving hex 7B?

Your help is MUCH appreciated. Thanks- bye- Larry

Any advice given is my attempt to show appreciation for all
the excellent help I've received here but I'm no MVP so it
may only apply NUGS. Personal attacks, nitpicking & criticism
of anything but content will NOT be responded to. Those
posters should spend their time taking the test @
