Collapsable outline with +/- and selection retention

I'm using the collapsable outline feature in MS FP 2002. I have two
problems:
1. There are no +/- symbols to let the user know when there is a
collpased subheading that can be expanded.
2. When an entry in the outline is a link to another page and that
link is clicked, the selection of that entry is lost when the user clicks
the "Back" button on his browser to return to where he was on the outline.

Is there any easy cure that doesn't involve a lot of programming knowledge?
Any guidance would be very much appreciared.

Hi Marc,

Probably not - the collapsible outlines are OK as far as they go but they're
meant for people without programming knowledge that can accept their
limitations.

Tell you what, give me a couple of hours and I'll see if I can come up with
something better.

These limitations are inherent to the FrontPage
collapsable outline feature. For billions of
alternatives, type ? Javascript "tree view" into the IE
address bar.
