I have a video file that I am trying to use in MM2, it is an .avi using
Moonlight Odio Dekoda as the audio codec and Nero Video Decode as the video.
I can play it fine with media player 10.00.00.3646 but when I try to import
it into MM2 it gives me the following error: ".... cannot be imported because
the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you
have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart
Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again."
I am confused, if I can play the file, the codec is installed.

Codecs can enforce restrictions on their use.... like allow playing of a
file but not editing....
