Code signing certificates dont work in Vista

I have been using a digital code signing certificate, as created via the
Microsoft Office Tools > Digital Certificate for VBA Project, for years on
Windows XP and it has always worked fine.

When I use the same procedure to implement the cert on a Vista computer it
does not work. I do this through IE under Tools > Internet Options > Content
tab, Certificates. I import the digital cert and instruct it automatically
select the certificate store.

In WinXP I open the database and it asks once if I want to trust the
contact. I check the box and it never asks again. In Vista is asks teh same
question but the checkbox is disabled, even after I've imported the cert.

Any help in tried to get this resolved is greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Hello,

I was not able to reproduce the issue with a code sign certificate:

1. IE under Tools > Internet Options > Content tab, Certificates

2. Select "Trusted publisher", and click Import

3. Select the certificate file, and and they select "automatically select
the certificate store."

4. The certificate is imported properly.

Did you try self-signed office certificate or a certificate published from
a CA?

1. You could try the following steps to create a new self signed
certificate to test.

2. Click Start->All programs->MS Office->Office tools->Digital certificate
for VBA project

3. Type the certificate name you'd like to use.

4. IE under Tools > Internet Options > Content tab, Certificates

5. Select "Personal", and select the certificate name you just create, can
click Export, name the file as test.cer.

6. Select "Trusted publisher", click Import, and select the test.cer you
import

If you have any update or question, please feel free to let's know. Thank
you and have a great day!

Best Regards,
