Hello,

In a Dell Latitude D610 notebook I have two devices with error code 31:
the modem (Conexant D110 MDC v.9x) and the sound card (SigmaTel
C-Major).

If I delete the devices and reinstall them with last drivers from Dell,
I obtain the same 31 error code... and I don't understand the info in
the Q245386 article at MS KB
(http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;245386).

In the same notebook there is an installation of Windows XP that
detects and uses both devices correctly...

What else can I try to detect and use that devices with Windows 2000?

Thanks in advance, Samu

1 Are the drivers intended for Windows 2000
2 You would need to locate the registry entry as indicated, but for the
modem and again for the soundcard rather that the mouse in the example.

First of all, thank you very much for your answer...

1-Well, I'm using Dell site downloaded drivers for w2k systems.
2-I know where are modem and sound registry entries, but I can't find
Upperfilter and Lowerfilter values...

If there are not Upperfilter or LowerFilter keys then there aren't any
values to delete.
