You have three connector types there. The only router console I have
ever logged into was accessed by connecting a DB-25 to the console and
connecting an RJ-45 to my laptop. I then logged in through HyperTerminal.
For your router console, are you saying the RJ-45 goes into the router
console and then you are trying to connect the DB-9 converted to USB to
your computer? Have you tried it the other way around? Also, have you
tried it without the DB-9 to USB adapter?
Sorry I'm not much help. Maybe someone here has their CCNA and wouldn't
mind chiming in
