Might be clutching at staws here but I refuse to admit defeat:
I've got a Lex BN730 Ultra M/board with onboard audio in the form of
SIS 7018 chipset. I also have a SB Live which is my prefered soundcard
however I'd like to run both on my XP Pro Build.
I can get both devices working okay on their own but the moment I tr
to introduce the other one, one will fail. if the SIS 7018 is workin
then the SB Live won't appear at all.
At best I've been able to get the SB Live working & auto. detected i
XP but have to add the SIS 7018 Manually using Add New Hardware howeve
when I do so it comes up with "Code 10" (nice generic error fro
Microsoft!) therefore it's got to be a conflict with the SB Live, bu
where?
I've updated the drivers for both devices, reserved IRQ 5 in the BIO
(which both want to use initially on their own), reinstalled XP
scanned for updated each time but to no avail. The mail thing tha
eludes me from progressing further is that I can't adjust the Resource
(Mem range / IRQ) on either device even in Safe Mode. Maybe Xp won'
allow these 2 to work together but this Shouldn't be the case! An
suggestions greatly appreciated.

Windows always had troubles with two sound card. You may have to decide
which one to use all the time and remove one of them. (Disable on-board
sound in the BIOS)
