Hi,
Can anyone help?

I've had a netgear MA401 wireless adapter for broadband
that I've been using on my laptop (Acer Travelmate
202tev)...

Previously, I was using windows ME.

However, the PC wasn't recognising the adapter
suddenly... so, after trying many other things and
spending many hourse on the phone to tech support at
Blueyonder, I did a clean install of Windows XP (i was
told that the fault seemed to be with the OS).

Now that windows XP is on, when I try to load the PCMCIA
card, I get a "Code 10" message, telling me the card
isn't working.

However, I know it isnt' the card (as it works fine on my
wife's laptop, and worked fine on mine till recently),
and I can't imagine the software is corrupted, as it
comes from a CD.

Can anyone tell me what Code 10 means? Are my PCMCIA
slots fried (seems strange that BOTH would be!) Is it
even possible to get these fixed on a laptop?

Thanks very much for any help.

Derek

Code 10 means that driver attempts to start but then fails.
Contact tech support of Netgear.
