Cobian Notepad Plus (Cobpad Plus) is the second version of Cobpad. It is a
text editor a’la Notepad but with many other features:
* Multi-Document Interface: You can work with many documents at the same
time
* Drag’n’drop : Just drag a file into Cobpad Plus to open it.Edit your text
med drag'n'drop too
* Encrypt/Decrypt function. You can encrypt or decrypt a text document. The
encrypt function is much stronger (mutant) than Cobpad's 1.0. But it is NOT
a secure one. It is hard enough to decrypt it for any "normal" human
been, though. if you need a really strong encrypting program, get PGP :-)
* E-mail capability: Now you can send the document you write direct from
Cobpad Plus. The first time you run the program,go to Option in the tool
menu and enter your SMTP server and your e-mail address. Next version will
also allow you to get e-mail and send attachments :-)
* HTML “easy writing“ :You can write an easy HTML document with Cobpad Plus.
You don’t need to write many of the tags. Just choose them from the HTML
menu and the program will paste them for you.
* Minimize to Tray bar: You can minimize Cobpad Plus into the tray bar
(Windows 95/98 clock bar).
* An address book to store your e-mail addresses
* It “remember“ the position of the Window when you close it.
* Choose a language to work (English, Spanish, Swedish) (ESPAÑOL; SUECO;
INGLES, Svenska, Spanska, Engelska)
* Auto associates *.txt, *.ini and *.bat to be open with Cobpad Plus
(Optional)
What is New in 2.1
- French translation by Denis Dupuis
- Bosnian-Serbo-Croatian tranlation by Edib Sakic
-A timestamp function has been added. If a document begins with the line
..LOG then the program will automaticaly insert the current date and time
every time the text is opened.
- A bug in the System Tray function has been fixed (I hope so)
- The program supports tabs now (a big miss in 2.0) - The program rompts if
you want to replace an existing file when you save. (another big miss)
