I am a new user of HP Pavilion MX704 Windows XP.

I have read the discussions already about changing the startup:
Menu is apparantly: -> Start -> Run -> msconfig> Startup.
When I make changes here and I startup the PC, then a new message appear on
the screen:
"You have used the System Configuration Utility to make changes to the way
Windows start.
The System Configuration Utility is currently in Diagnostic or Selective
Startup mode, causing this message to be displayed and the utility to run
every time Windows starts.
Choose the Normal Startup mode on the General tab to start Windows normally
and undo the changes you made using the the System Configuration Utility."

I didn't change the System Configuration Utility in Diagnostic or Selective
Startup. I guess that just happens when you try to change something in the
Startup.
I can't get through above Windows-message. How am I supposed to edit Startup
if I keep getting this "blocking-message"?

Thank you for your time,
John
