That error is unfamiliar to me. Check your Event Viewer application log for
any clues. There may be other unrelated harmless cmi errors in the log, so
clear the log, repro the problem and note the errors that occur at exactly
the same time.
As a last resort you can always uninstall and reinstall the Database.
