I have searched the internet for two days now and I havent found a solution
to my problem.

When I start cmd.exe it comes up on the screen ok. However when I press a
key it disappears off the screen. It is not closed off as its it the task
manager.

This is really annoying as I quite often use cmd.exe in my job for trouble
shooting things.

Can anyone offer any help on this?

What happens then? You click the task in the Taskbar to bring it back
up, and... Does it then take kb entries? Does it hide itself again?
Does this happen with every kb entry?
