Clustering across different subnets

I am trying to build a majority node set (MNS) using three servers on
two different subnets. I've been able to build a MNS using them on the
same subnet, but when I place one of them on a second branch, the MNS fails.

I rebuild the MNS fresh for each configuration in a lab, so I can move
the systems around at will. Has anyone successfully built a MNS across
different subnets?

TIA,
hbchrist
