Cluster Names

Is there anything requiring that a MSCS cluster name be unique on a
network? I am working on a network monitoring program, and it will
collect information about any clusters on the network. Putting the
data in a database will be complicated if the cluster name is not a
unique identifier.

I would expect the cluster to have a GUID associated with it, but I am
not finding anything along those lines.

Does anyone know?

Does the virtual server have a GUID that stays constant among the
cluster nodes during failovers and other events?
