What do the four letters "CLSID" represent. If there are 'problems' there,
can they be serious? If so, how are they eliminated?
Many thanks, redoak

Greetings Redoak,

CLISD - An identification tag that's associated with an ActiveX or OLE 2.0
object created by a specific component or server. CLSID values appear in the
Registry and must be unique for each type of object that the server can
create. See Registry. - http://www.pace.ch/cours/glossary.htm

Thanks and best of luck!

class ID (CLSID)
A universally unique identifier (UUID) that identifies a COM component. Each
COM component has its CLSID in the Windows Registry so that it can be loaded
by other applications.

Thanks for the links. I see this involves the 'registry.' I will not pursue
further, since my computer functions well.

I am trying to find an answerto a similar question. I need to find the
"CLSID" of freelotto.com so I can block it with Spywareblaster.
Spywareblaster asks me for the CLSID of freelotto.com and I don't know
how to find it. Anyone have any suggestions ?
