I need some help. I can bring up the Internet explorer but when i try to
close (X) out of it, i can't. I can click on the X and it depresses , but
all i get is a DING sound.
I can minimize it though. If i am into other sites on Explorer, and another
"window" opens, i can't X out of it most of the time, sometimes i can.
I have to use the ALT, CTRL, DELETE buttons to get out of it, but all that
does is close everything including the main IE page, so I have to start all
over again.

I've had same problem and the response I got was the
presence of spyware which I don't buy. Good luck, I hope
you get multiple responses to choose from.

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite)

Then download, install, update and run one or both of these programs:
Ad-aware from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
Spybot from http://security.kolla.de/
