Click the little cross in the upper right corner of the Window you want to
close.

If you prefer keyboard, shrtcuts, press and hold down the ALT key and
then press the F4 key. Release both keys.

This is the same for any windows programs you use, not just for the
Internet.

If you want to close a bunch of windows, right-click at the
appropriate button down there at the task bar, where it says "6
Internet Explorer" or something like that and choose "Close Group".
