Clock not updating

My PC clock is not updating. In the settings its greyed out. Using XP Pro.

How can I get it to update?

Use account with administrative privileges to change this setting.

Get message 'an error occurred getting the status of the last
synchronisation. An unexpected network error occurred.

Have you tried to use some other NTP server?

Yes I've tried 4 or 5 all give same message

Well originally the bit where you select a time server was grayed out so I
couldn't enter anything. Mysteriously this went and now I can enter a server
but always get the afore mentioned error message.

I think your ISP server is having a problem. Try tock.usno.navy.mil
again. Remember we set the clocks ahead this weekend. Maybe they are working
on the server.

I'm sure any server I use will produce this message.
