Clip art disappeared in Office XP

Help! No error messages, nothing. When I try to insert clip art in Word
2002, my cursor momentarily becomes a large flashing insert cursor, then
returns to normal. No menu opens. Nothing new has been installed on the PC.
Tried to repair the installation of Office XP, reinstalled Office, tried
system restore, all to no avail. BTW, I can insert clip art from powerpoint
and excel with no problems.
