clients computers can't access network

Mulitple client computers can't access the host on a
newly created ICS network. I can't even ping the host
computer and all 3 client computers list an IP of
169.254.x.x . Do I need to reinstall the drivers for
the host NIC? "ipconfig /release" or "/renew" doesn't
work and returns an error message.

..... oh joy! /flushdns and then /registerdns fixed my
two day old nightmare!
