I have been having a lot of trouble with a laptop seeing
the network. In an effort to get this working, I decided
to uninstall client for microsoft networks, and then to re-
install. But after uninstall, I find that when I click on
install, the "clients" icons is empty. Nothing. I have
no XP CD as this is an OEM system. Is there any place I
can download client for microsoft network so that I can re-
install it?

See if clicking Have Disk and entering \windows\inf as the path restores the
option.
