When i click on a web link in my emails (outlook 2003) it opens to "my
documents" instead of opening the web site. What setting do I need to change?

Thanks

You need to change the file type actions for the "URL:Hypertext Transfer
Protocol" file type. The easiest thing to do is, when you receive the
browser window after clicking on a URL, to browse to your web browser's
executable. If you want to use Internet Explorer, browse to and select
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe, then click OK.

If you do it once, it should stick.

Hi There I had the same problem. I followed the instructions in the previous
posts, it now opens my Internet Explorer but I want it to take me to the
link. For example if the link is www.info.com, my explorer opens to my home
page. What settings do I need to change to take me right to the link.

Thanks for the help.

I just installed Outlook 2007 & the same thing is happening to me. Except,
when I click on the web link, I get a message that says, "General failure:
The URL was... Application not found" I am able to cut & paste the link
though. Can I change a setting somewhere so it will recognize Explorer &
open the link. This was not a problem before the upgrade.

Thanks-

Melissa
