My pc is making a very annoying clinking sound. It is as if a file is being
downloaded every few seconds. I have run my spyware software, virus scan
and windows defender. All indicate system is free of unwanted files. I
researched all the names listed in TaskManager and they are all legimate.
There are 37 processes listed and the number remains the same when there is
a click. When I first installed Office XP Pro, I downloaded all of the
features. I uninstall and reinstalled typical installation. I thought
maybe some features from voice recognitition may still be installed, but I
checked accessibility, sound and add remove and I don't see an option that
may be causing the sound. I also have a cordless mouse and keyboard and a
Santa Cruz sound card. Any suggestions please, the noise is driving me
batty. Thanks
