Clicking on Hyperlinks in outlook 2003 freezes Outlook

Starting just recently whenever i click on a hyperlink in outlook it freezes.
Event view give the following two errors:

Event ID: 1002
Hanging application OUTLOOK.EXE, version 11.0.8169.0, hang module hungapp,
version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

Event ID: 1001
Fault bucket 467407681.

Anyone seen this before?

Tried resetting your default browser already?

Yes, I have also checked to make sure Ie is set to "open" as default action
in file types under folder options. I suspect that this is a result of
Office 2003 SP3 but it is not a removable update :-(

Does it work in Outlook Safe Mode?
Are you using IE7?

The same behavior occurs in safe mode as well. I have been on IE7 for 6
months or so and this is just an issue recently.

Do a repair on Office and verify all the latest updates have been applied as
well.
If it still doesn't work, see if it works when logged on as a different
user.
