If I click a hyperlink in Word 97, the Word window turns into an IE
window and the web page opens in that window.

Is there some setting I can change whereby if I click a hyperlink in
Word, the Browser opens and displays the page in its own window?

Adding the \n switch to the HYPERLINK field code might help.
