On my "work" PC I can not submit a New Post ... I can REPLY to a Post ...
However, I can not submit ... When MS was using the Newsgroups (prior to
Passport) I had no issues ... Once Passport implemented I have the following
problem ...

Home PC no problem ... Work PC Sypmtoms ...

1: I log into MSN Passport Network ... No problem
2: Go to Discussion Boards ... No problem
3: Review post ... & "reply" to post ... No problem
4: Problem is ... I can NOT submit a NEW post

Issue: When I select the NEW button ... Nothing happens ... I do not get
the little pop-up window for my next selection ... (Ask a question, Tell it
to Microsoft, Suggest ... or whatever).

Is there a switch someplace that needs to be revised ... or ... Am I somehow
being impacted by a Corporate Firewall.

Bottom line ... I would like to participate on the Boards as there is a
wealth of information here ... or ... Is there perhaps another URL address I
could use to get to the Boards ... Anthing will help ... Hopefully, it just a
switch ...

Thanks ...

I strongly suggest you give up that slow and quirky web interface and
use a proper newsreader to access newsgroups. You will find many
responders will not use the web interface so are unfamiliar with it.

I too am having this problem - in fact, I can not add a new question - can
only see to reply. Am not sure what is going on with my machine. Is there
some function that has accidently been turned on? In my online (comcast)
email account, I cannot add attachments yet with my hotmail account I can.
Often web sites hyperlinks require 2 clicks - the first giving me a dull
clunk (like an error message except nothing shows up) and then it may or may
not link. Any advice?

I guess my question wasnt clear since I use neither Passport nor Messenger.
This is happening when I am using Internet Explorer. The problem seems to be
using certain websites - maybe a java script issue or something - Im not a
programmer. I just know I used to be able to add attachments to my email,
and now, when I select attachment, I am bumped out of my email and dumped
back to my in box. Also, on several websites, I often have to click twice as
the first time, nothing happens - except that weird clunking noise that I
generally associate with error messages - yet none appears.

In fact, on this web site, I am able to reply to a posting but can not start
a posting on my own - I get an incomplete drop down menu and select general
comment and again, nothing happens except the odd clunking noise.

As Alan wrote you would be better posting using a real NNTP newsreader.
That would make your New post problem an irrelevant issue.

However, in case you can't post through a real newsreader for some reason
be aware that the most likely reason for the New post problem is a Pop-up
Stopper. Either disable it or customize it to allow popups from the portal
you are using (or just *.microsoft.com in general.)
