If I receive an e-mail with a link to a website, when I click on the link it
comes up with the error message "This operation has been cancelled due to
restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system
administrator". I used to be able to open links and I don't think I've
changed anything. Please help, if you can.

I'm having the same problem, it seemed to appear for no reason.

This is a problem with IE, its not an Outlook error. You need to reset your
internet settings in IE's Tools, Internet Options, Advanced tab. (Or Control
panel, Internet options, Advanced tab).
See http://www.slipstick.com/problems/link_restrict.htm for more
information.

Thank you Thank you; you're an Angel.
The step that worked for me in Vista was: start, default programs, set
program access & computer defaults, expand custom, choose a default ...;
Internet Explorer.
Thanks again
Don
