I got broadband and immediately neither my computer nor my husbands IE will
work (his just says that it isn't connected to the internet - but it does
ping and he doesn't seem to have any windxl or whatever that other problem
was). On my laptop - when you click on IE icon it opens a window then the
second it loads it immediately closes the window. I can't uninstall IE or
download another version as it says that there is a more recent version on my
computer. We need to get it working as I need to use programs that only work
with IE and not foxfire. (We both have XP)

visit Microsoft.com and download the 6.7MB file
"MicrosoftAntiSpywareInstall.exe". This is a Beta antispyware search and
removal tool. I had the same issue and after scanning all HDD where this
problem lurked....they were gone.
