I was thinking of purchasing a Clevo Barebones system on Ebay and was just
wondering would the Hard Drive, Ram, and Dvd-Rom from my gateway laptop be
usable in the Clevo system or are they gateway only pieces???

How old is your gateway? Hard drive will likely work, but not be as
fast as current drives. Ram: depends on the age of the system, Likely
that both use SODIMMS, but the old ones might be too slow. DVD:
probably will work but the face won't follow the curve of the case, so
will look odd.

Gateway is about 2 years old
