Clearing address history

The pulldown list of the IE6 address line seems to contain both web
sites visited and a list of files I have opened. When I use the
"Clear History" button under Tools the list of web sites is cleared
but the list of files I have opened remains. An example would be
"file:///C:/Data/INVOICE/Sample.doc". What can I do to clear out all
entries from the history list?
