clear drop down box in windows run command drop down list

how do i clear the drop down box in the run menu?

Hi Andy,

To clear just this area, start/run regedit, navigate to this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU

And selectively delete the strings from the right-pane that contain the load
entries you wish to get rid of. There are other means of clearing this box,
such as the clear recent button, but these will erase several of your
dropdown boxes.

rick ... i dont care if i clear out all drop down boxes ... where is the button of which you speak

Settings/Taskbar and Start menu/Start Menu tab, click customize.
