I have set up a rule which categorizes mails based on certain criteria to a
color category. Now, the problem is that the category also gets forwarded to
the recipient whn i forward the mail. This is kinda not what is intented in
my case. Is there some way I could achive this?

You forward as an attachment or in-line?
The default in Outlook 2007 is to strip the categories when sending.

Then you'll have to create an outgoing rule to do that.
Condition: assigned to specific category
Action: clear message's categories

Thanks, but this clears all the categories on the mail. Any idea on how I
could clear off a specific category alone?

That's going to be harder. If this category is always combined with the same
other category, then you could use 2 rules; first to clear them all and then
add the other categories again.

Otherwise you'll have to look at custom actions and use VBA. Then you can
strip a specific category.

Oh... tats bad. I dont know what other categories it could be combined with.
Any idea on where I could find some material(samples) on writing custom
actions in VBA?
