The "clear" button does not work after doing an inbox search

I am running outlook 2002 and have three problems:
1. After doing a succesful search in my inbox, I press the clear button and
it just gives a dialog box that says "outlook can not display this view". I
have to press the dialog box button twice to get rid of it but the filtering
does not go away.
2. I can not click and drag a message from my inbox to a personal folder.
3. I am not able to select multiple items in my inbox and delete them. Note
that I can delete one email at a time though.
