>Start--control panel--switch to clasic view(I like this

view better)--Internet Options--deleate cookies,deleate
history,deleate files,all offline content,check box--
OK.........you can get this from your internet explorer
under tools......................next.......start--all
programs--accessories--system tools--disc cleanup(also
get defrag here)--run disc clean-up,check all boxes
except compress old files(for everybody has lockup
trouble with this one,if you do I'll leave a link for
you,may want to heep it in your favorites--run it---go
back defrag....get yourself ad aware(it's FREE)load it
run it........When your system starts up slow come back
and ask how to do the msconfig thingy....basicly start--
run--type in msconfig--OK--startup tab--uncheck
everything you dont use,(I have everything gone except
antivirus, firewall then went to kelly's fixes and loaded
the remover for unchecked
boxes)

http://www.webattack.com/get/adaware.shtml
for ad aware (run it at least 1 time a week)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm for XP
fixes, like if your disc cleanup locks on compress old
files, and remove unchecked boxes from msconfig
http://www.microsoft.com/security/protect/
to learn how to protect your computer get a
good antivirus,if you don't have one,can get a year free
from
http://www.my-etrust.com/microsoft/index.cfm? it also
has a good firewall. GOOD LUCK
