I have a Nikon Coolscan II (LS-20), External. It works all right, but dark
areas are blemished paralall brigther lines running along the length of the
picture. I suspect some dust inside the scanner to be the cause of this.
Does anybody have any experrience with internal cleaning of this scanner ?

Hello, I am experiencing problems with my Coolscan III which I suspect is due to dirt in the optical path. And in a search for inormation on this I came across your posting. If you have not yet found a solution, I suggest that you look at the following sites:-
http://www.val1.com/photo/dirty-scan...2000-cleaning/
and also:-
http://www.pearsonimaging.com/articl...0cleaning.html
and follow the links on the last page.
I hope this is usefull to you! I will be carefully attempting to clean my scanner very soon.
Kind Regards,
Mike
